Is God finished with the nation of Israel?

No. Romans 11 makes plain that God is not through with the nation of Israel. Though set aside for nearly 1900 years without temple, priesthood, sacrifice, or homeland, Israel remains His covenant people. Once Gentiledom's day closes, God will return and pick up where He left off with Israel.

Les explains from Romans chapter 11 that God is not through with the nation of Israel. Israel has been set aside for the last 1900 and some years, without the temple, priesthood, sacrifice, and without a homeland until our generation. Yet God is not through with His covenant people. In the grafting process, Israel was removed and her branches broken off, while Gentiledom was placed over the root of father Abraham, receiving the gospel and opportunity for salvation. But Gentiledom's day is fast coming to a close because they too have walked it underfoot; God's grace and patience will soon run out, and He will go back and pick up where He left off with Israel. Paul writes to believers, predominantly Gentiles, that they should not be ignorant.
