Is God done with Israel?
No. Scripture indicates God is not finished with Israel, for He promised His mercy would never depart from the nation. Though Israel was disciplined, dispersed among the nations, and later restored as a sovereign state in 1948, the world's claim that God is through with the Jew is contradicted by that enduring promise.
Les teaches that God used the Roman army under Titus to discipline Israel. Titus besieged the city, destroyed the temple stone by stone as the prophet had written, and Israel was dispersed into every nation. Les explains that Israel began returning, set up kibbutzes, and little by little became a nation again. In 1948, after a war with the Arabs around them, Harry Truman declared Israel a sovereign state. The world says God is all through with the Jew, but Les says no, because God promised His mercy would never depart from the nation of Israel. He then points to Jeremiah chapter 31.
