Why is it sad that the world is so religious yet doesn't know Jesus?

Les explains that it is sad when the world is full of religion, and even Western cultures base a lot of it on this book, yet they are totally ignorant of who Jesus Christ really is. He notes that people may promote other gods and practice much religion, but when the lost person is drawn before the great white throne, they will be speechless and sent to their doom because they refuse to recognize who He really is. Les recalls teaching a little home Bible class of people from various denominations and saying that Jesus Christ was the creator of Genesis 1. Mouths dropped all over the room because they had never heard it. Later, several asked if he was sure. Les says the more you get into this book, the more convinced you are that the one who hung on that Roman cross created the wood it was made of, created the mount on which the cross was planted, and is the creator of all the hosts of heaven.
