What does Isaiah 66:8 mean by a nation being born in one day?

Isaiah 66:8 points to the coming of Christ, when the remnant of Israel will suddenly see Him for who He is. In one day, at once, that remnant will acknowledge Him as Father and God, and God will call them His people.

Les teaches that Isaiah 66:8 describes an event at the coming of Christ, not an ordinary human birth. The earth bringing forth in one day and a nation being born at once means the remnant of Israel will suddenly see Him for what He is. To the last Jew in that remnant, they will say, My Father, My God, and God will say, My people. It has been a long time since He said that about the nation of Israel, but He will when that day arrives. In that day they will not need to be taught the Law or have a priesthood preach the commandments; they will know them.

Isaiah 66:8

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
