What does it mean that God has already glorified us and sees us as He sees Christ?
It means God has already declared believers glorified, just as they are justified, sanctified, forgiven, and baptized into the Body. Though other people cannot see a halo or angelic glory, God sees the believer as He sees Christ Jesus, viewing them in Christ’s own glory.
Les teaches that this glorification is something God has already accomplished for the believer, even though fellow man cannot see it and believers do not walk around with a halo or an angelic presence. The only explanation is that God sees it: every time God looks upon the believer, He does not see that individual, but He sees Christ Jesus. Les points to the Mount of Transfiguration, where Peter, James, and John saw Christ literally glorified, even His clothing radiating heaven’s glory. Since God says we are glorified, we cannot see it on each other, but God sees us as not only justified but also glorified, and He sees us as He sees Christ in all His glory. This should excite even the most blasé believer.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
More Questions
Does God already see believers as glorified, the same way He sees Christ?
God has already glorified believers, and He sees them as He sees Christ in all of His glory.
Are believers already glorified even though we cannot see it?
God sees believers as glorified right now, even though other believers cannot see that glorification on one another.
Why don't Christians look glorified if God says we are glorified?
Believers do not walk around on this planet with a halo or exuding an angelic presence that would indicate they have been glorified, so our glorification is not visibly apparent to other people.
