Les Feldick Bible Study

How should it affect us that God says we are already glorified even though we can't see it?

It should excite even the most blasé believer. Though fellow man cannot see our glorification, God sees it whenever He looks upon us. He sees us not only as justified but already glorified, viewing us as He views Christ in all His glory. This reality should shape our assurance and joy.

Les teaches that this truth should excite even the most blasé of believers. Believers do not walk around with a halo or an angelic presence that shows they have been glorified, and fellow man does not see it. But God does. Every time God looks upon the believer, He does not see that individual in particular; He sees Christ Jesus. Les also points to Christ’s glory on the Mount of Transfiguration, when Peter, James, and John saw Him literally glorified, and even His clothing radiated the very glory of heaven. Since God says we are glorified, we cannot see it on each other, but God sees it when He looks on us. He sees us as not only justified and all these other things, but also glorified. God has already glorified us, and He sees us as He sees Christ in all of His glory.

Romans 8:30

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
