Les Feldick Bible Study

Where in Scripture do we see a picture of Christ's glory?

This event gives a picture of Christ's glory at the Mount of Transfiguration, where Peter, James, and John saw Him literally glorified in their presence. He took on such glory that even His clothing radiated the very glory of heaven.

Les teaches that the Mount of Transfiguration is where we get a little picture of Christ's glory. Peter, James, and John had the opportunity of seeing Him literally glorified in their presence. He took on such a glory that even His clothing radiated the very glory of heaven. Les connects this to the believer's position: God has already glorified us, though we do not walk around with a halo or an angelic presence. Our fellow man doesn't see it, but God does, and when God looks upon the believer He sees Christ Jesus. So the Transfiguration provides a visible picture of the glory that God sees in us.

Romans 8:30

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

More Questions

Who actually sees that a believer has been glorified?

Our fellow man doesn't see our glorification, but God does; every time God looks upon the believer He does not see that believer — He sees Christ Jesus.

If people can't see our glorification, who does see it and how?

Our fellow man does not see our glorification, but God does, because every time God looks upon the believer He does not see that individual, He sees Christ Jesus.
