Is God working everything out for good in our daily experience, or only in His eternal plan?

God is working everything toward the fruition of His eternal plan of the ages, but in daily, moment-by-moment experience He works good specifically for the believer. The promise that all things work together for good is qualified: it applies to believers, not the world generally, though it may include difficult things.

Les teaches that everything is working toward the fruition of God's eternal plan of the ages, absolutely. Yet in the believer's everyday, moment-by-moment experience, God is working out the best for him, and this promise is not for the world necessarily. The qualification is that the believer is the one for whom all things work together for good. Les also describes the Holy Spirit indwelling the believer and interceding according to God's will, with the Spirit interceding to the Son and the Son to the Father. He notes this may include things that are not good at the time; later one can look back and praise the Lord that they took place because they brought him to where he is, and the same applies to the listener.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
