Who is our advocate with the Father in 1 John 2:1?

According to 1 John 2:1, the advocate with the Father is Jesus Christ the Righteous. When any person sins, He intercedes on their behalf before the Father. He serves continually, twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year, as the righteous intercessor.

Les explains that when a person sins, they have an advocate, an intercessor, someone interceding for them to the Father. In 1 John 2:1, that advocate is Jesus Christ the Righteous. Les points out that all three persons of the Trinity are involved in our prayer line, constantly working on our behalf. He emphasizes that Jesus is there 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and though millions of believers may approach the throne room at any moment, God hears each one individually, not as a jumble of voices. This gives us assurance that He hears us and knows all about us.
