How were the worlds and the universe made?
The worlds and the universe were framed by the Word of God: He spoke, and they came into being. Believers understand this by faith. The visible, tangible things were not made out of things that appear; everything created came out of nothing.
Les explains that through faith, by simply taking God at His Word, believers understand that the worlds and the universe were framed by the Word of God. He spoke it, and it all came into being. Paul is always dealing in the realm of the believer, and the unbeliever cannot comprehend this. If the astronomers are right that everything is still being created and moving further and further, Les can believe that because God is infinite, and there is no putting an outer shell on God's creation. So the things which are seen and tangible were not made out of things that appear; everything created came out of nothing.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
