Can mankind be subject to the law of God?

No, mankind cannot be subject to the law of God. Scripture declares that they are enmity against God, total rebels, having no fear of God before their eyes. Because they ignore Him and push Him out of their thinking, they are not subject to His law, neither indeed can they be.

Les explains from Romans 8 that mankind cannot be subject to God's law because they are enmity against God and total rebels. He notes this is hard to swallow, but it means exactly what it says. The Christian community often thinks it can legislate decent morality to stop murder, teenage pregnancies, and drug addiction, but it cannot. The drug war proves this: drugs will not stop until people stop wanting to use them. Likewise, mankind ignores God, pushes Him out of their thinking, and has no fear of God because they have no comprehension of who He is or the power He can employ. War always brings misery until Christ returns, and the way of peace they have not known.

Romans 8:7
