Is the old Adamic nature subject to God's law?

Les explains that the carnal or old Adamic mind is enmity against God. He says the next part of the verse is shocking: the Adamic nature is not subject to the law of God. He calls this scary and observes that it is amazing man is as civilized as he is. The unsaved person is not subject to the law of God, and God does not expect the unbeliever to keep His law or be a good person, because God sees in his nature that he is anything but. Such a person is in a state of rebellion, not admitting sin or spiritual lack, and is therefore an enemy of God.
