Les Feldick Bible Study

Why did Les say prophecy becomes believable because of modern technology?

Modern technology, particularly satellite communication, makes biblical prophecy believable because Revelation foretells the whole world seeing two witnesses rise from Jerusalem after three days. Until satellite technology existed, that global viewing seemed impossible to accept; now it is plausible. Prophecy is becoming closer and more believable.

Les explains that all prophecy in God's Word was given to Israel, not the church, and that everything God promised Israel will still happen. As this age progresses, it is getting closer. He tells his classes that this prophecy would remain hard to believe were it not for present-day technology. The example is Revelation's two witnesses: after lying dead on Jerusalem's streets for three days, they rise and ascend in a rapturous-like experience, and the whole world sees them go. Before satellite technology, that global viewing was a tough point to accept; now it becomes believable.
