Who led the nation of Israel out of Egypt and into the Promised Land?

Scripture shows Moses led the nation of Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness, while Joshua led them into the Promised Land. The twelve sons of Jacob became the twelve tribes, multiplied in Egypt, and were brought out by Moses, then brought into the land under Joshua.

Les explains that Israel came from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, then from Jacob’s twelve sons, one of whom was Joseph. Because of Joseph, the twelve sons ended up in Egypt during the grain crisis. While there, their families exploded in population, and those twelve sons became the twelve tribes of Israel. Moses led them out, took them through the wilderness, and Joshua led them into the land.
