Who led Israel into the Promised Land after the wilderness?

Joshua led Israel into the Promised Land after their forty years of wilderness experience. After Israel came out under Moses as a nation, forty years later Joshua took them into what is called the Promised Land. This follows the period in which they became a nation in Egypt.

Les explains that Israel became a nation in Egypt in slavery, because God told Jacob not to fear going down into Egypt, for there He would make of him a great nation. They came out under Moses as a nation of people. Then, forty years later, after their wilderness experience, Joshua took them into what is called the Promised Land. Afterward, they were ruled by judges for 400 and some years, until they asked for a king. Saul was the first king and was a total flop, and then David was next.
