Why can no one lay anything to the charge of God's elect?
No one can lay anything to the charge of God's elect because their salvation is wholly God's work. God has elected them, they have responded and entered His salvation, and no one can touch them or take them out of His hand.
Les teaches that these verses hammer home the idea that once God has put the finger on us, has elected us, and we have responded and entered into His tremendous salvation, then nobody can touch that. It is all what God has done. He also says that if a person has enough faith to believe the Gospel and be brought into that salvation mode, then they should have enough faith to take God at His word and know that they are His. No one can take us out of His hand. Les further reasons that God would not elect someone who would somewhere down the road choose to reject Him.
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
