How can you know you're saved?
You can know you are saved by faith—taking God at His Word—and by studying Scripture, not by claiming to be good enough. Romans 3:23 shows all have come short of God's glory, driving you to trust what God says about eternal life in Christ.
Les explains that assurance of salvation is always based on faith, which is taking God at His Word. He asks how we can know we are in Christ, have eternal life, and need not worry about missing heaven. The best and first place to start is Romans 3:23: all have come short of the glory of God. No one can meet God's criteria or claim to be good enough for heaven. From that foundation, Les directs listeners to study the Word to come to a place of knowing they have eternal life. He also mentions the plan of salvation and offers verses to those interested.
