Can anyone be good enough to enter heaven?

No one can be good enough to enter heaven. Scripture says in Romans 3:23 that all have come short of the glory of God, and no one can meet God's criteria. Salvation is based on faith, taking God at His Word, so a person can know eternal life and not worry about missing heaven.

Les explains that the plan of salvation begins with the question of how you can know you are in Christ, have eternal life, and do not have to worry about missing heaven. He says this is always based on faith, and you can do nothing in the realm of the Spirit without faith, which is taking God at His Word. He likes to start with Romans 3:23, which says all have come short of the glory of God. All have come short; they cannot meet God's criteria and in no way can claim to be good enough to enter God's heaven.
