How can a person get into God's heaven?

A person enters God's heaven only through what Christ accomplished on the cross on their behalf, not by any works of the flesh. Trying to add circumcision, baptism, church membership, or anything else to salvation cancels the work of the cross, for Christ said, 'It's finished.'

Les explains that anyone who does something to fulfill salvation or 'put the frosting on the cake' is lost, because the Book says so. Christ profits us nothing if we depend on our own works. The only way into God's heaven is because of what Christ profits us on our behalf. Les warns not to depend on anything you can do—circumcision, church membership, baptism, or anything in the flesh—because doing so as part of salvation cancels the work of the cross. When Christ said, 'It's finished,' He meant it; everything we need was accomplished on that cross.
