Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does the Bible say there is no condemnation for those who are justified by faith?

Because justification is by faith, God can declare through the apostle that there is now no condemnation. This applies to those with genuine faith in the Gospel and a genuine salvation experience, not to a haphazard church member. Scripture does not require an emotional high or prescribed rules.

Les explains that since we are justified by faith, God can come back to this apostle and say, “...therefore there is now then no condemnation.” He qualifies this eternal security: it is not about any haphazard church member who merely walked an aisle or joined a church, but about someone who has had a genuine faith in the Gospel and a genuine salvation experience. He also addresses those who wonder if they are saved because they never had a great white light or tremendous emotional upheaval. Les says Scripture does not require an emotional high or a prescribed set of rules. He has gone through Romans verses to show people from Scripture how to know they are saved or how to lead someone seeking.
