Why, according to Les, are many people unaware of scriptural truths?
Many people remain unaware of scriptural truths because they rely on what others have written, often staying within denominational confines, instead of searching the Scriptures themselves. This dependence can prevent them from seeing truths that independent, informal Bible teaching helps them begin to understand.
Les explains that too many people rely on what people have written, perhaps within their denominational confines, and as a result they are totally unaware of many scriptural truths. He contrasts this with the joy of hearing from listeners who write that they are beginning to understand and see things they had never seen before. Even a pastor from Indiana called to say he was enjoying the program. The ministry presents itself as an informal, independent Bible study, not associated with any group and not underwritten by anyone, simply teaching the Book to help people enjoy and understand the Bible.
