Why don't people who don't think about God and His Word realize that everything is already done for them?
People remain unaware because they never think about eternity or in terms of God and His Word. They are unconcerned, so they do not realize that everything has already been done on their behalf. All they need to do is believe the gospel, and God will take care of the hard decisions.
Les explains that those who never think of eternity, God, or His Word also never come to realize that everything has already been done on their behalf if they would just believe it. He notes that if they had to suddenly do this or that, quit certain things, or stop going certain places, that would be hard; but that is not what they must do. All they have to do is believe the gospel, and God will take care of all those so-called hard decisions. Yet they remain so unconcerned. Les then points to the verses showing Christ entered the holy place once, having obtained eternal redemption, appeared once to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself, and offered His body once for all.
