Les Feldick Bible Study

Do Christians have fewer trials than the world?

No. Christians do not have fewer trials than the world; believers face just as many trials and testings as the world. Being in Christ does not remove hardship. The difference is a stabilizing power that sees them through those trials.

Les explains that a believer must never think that just because we are Christians, all of a sudden we are going to have a rose-petal-strewn pathway. No way. We are going to have just as many trials and testings as the world. The only difference is that we have a stabilizing power that will see us through it. He connects this to the new creation truth: if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away, and all things are become new. All things in our life, whether good or bad, are of God, who has reconciled us unto Himself by Jesus Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation.
