how is jesus presented in the gospel of mark?

In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is presented as the servant, with everything He does showing His willingness to serve, and He is viewed from His human side as one of the Synoptic Gospels dealing with Christ in His humanity, not as the Son of God in deity.

Les explains that Matthew, Mark, and Luke are called the Synoptic Gospels because they deal with Christ in His humanity. Mark is the second of these and depicts Jesus as the servant, with everything He does showing His willingness to be a servant, from His human side. This fits the Synoptic emphasis, as Matthew presents Him as the King who would rule on David's throne and Luke presents Him as the Son of Man. John, by contrast, depicts Him as the Son of God in His deity. Les also notes that the Synoptic Gospels record His wilderness temptations, while John does not, because those temptations affected His human side but not His deity.
