Les Feldick Bible Study

Are we saved from wrath by our own works or by faith in Christ's finished work?

Salvation from wrath is not earned by human works. It comes through Christ, by His blood, and by believing in His finished work at the cross. Scripture declares that without the shedding of blood there is no remission, so the basis is His death for sin, not our own efforts.

Les teaches that the believer is justified by His blood and shall be saved from wrath through Him. He stresses that this is not for anything we have done, but by simply believing in the finished work of the cross—how Christ died for our sin and His blood was shed that we might be declared just as if we had never sinned. He also reminds that without the shedding of blood there is no remission, an absolute of Scripture. This justification should affect how the believer lives, while the lost person does not have that same motivation.

Romans 5:9

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
