Is salvation by Grace or by works?
Salvation is by grace, not by works. The Law was a works religion, but Grace is entirely of grace and not of works. The Church Age believer's faith and practice come from Paul's letters, where the distinction between Law and Grace is made clear.
Les teaches that the Law was a completely different program and a works religion, whereas Grace is all of Grace and not of works. He stresses that the Church Age was never revealed until the Apostle Paul, so doctrinally the Church must go to Paul's letters for its faith and practice. This distinction between Law and Grace, and between Israel and the Church Age, resolves apparent contradictions, showing it is not contradictory but a change of modus operandi. Les will develop this especially as he gets into Paul's letter to the Galatians.
