Why is Satan so active against the nation of Israel?

Les explains that Satan is working overtime, not merely because he hates Israel, but because he hates God, and he does everything in his power to thwart the eternal purposes of God. That is the whole reason for his activity. Les points out that Satan is behind everything happening to the little nation of Israel, even scandals that upset their political system. Yet God will not permit anything to remove them from the scene; they will survive. The world increasingly asks why Israel must have the land, but God's promises remain, and He told Jeremiah that the sun would have to leave its orbit and the moon fall out of its orbit before Israel would disappear from view.
