What happens when we believe like Isaiah did?

When a person believes as Isaiah did, immediately God clothes them with the garments of salvation and covers them with the robe of righteousness. This is the full opposite of what is seen in Romans 3, because believing is simply accepting what God has said without working.

Les explains that God's purpose in giving the book is to bring us to salvation, and every person must reach that point to escape God's wrath. God has done everything possible to keep people from condemnation, giving the Word and men willing to preach and teach it so we can understand that all we have to do is believe. Believing takes no energy or work; it is simply accepting what God has said. So when we believe like Isaiah, immediately—because these are now fulfilled—God clothes us with the garments of salvation and covers us with the robe of righteousness, the full opposite of what was seen in Romans 3. He also shares J. Vernon McGee's point that believing is the only thing man can do without working.

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
