Why does Les say he can do nothing without prayer?
Prayer is essential to the ministry because it provides spiritual support from God's people. Even those who cannot give financially but pray their hearts out are just as appreciated; indeed, prayer sustains the work just as much as financial contributions do, for without it the teaching work could accomplish nothing.
Les teaches that he could never do this without the help of God's people, and he appreciates both contributors and those who cannot give financially but are praying their hearts out. He says he appreciates that prayer just as much, because without prayer he could do nothing. He also notes that he tries to answer every direct question but cannot write personally to everyone, and he mentions a faithful widow who contributed from limited income.
