Why doesn't Christ consider Himself complete until the Church is with Him?

Scripture says Christ does not consider Himself complete until He has the Church in His presence. The Church is His blood-bought Body, and God gave Him as head over all things to it. Ephesians calls the Church His complement, the completing of Him who fills all in all, because of His love for His Body.

Les explains that Ephesians 2 is a miracle of miracles: the Lord Jesus, the crowning Creator and God of the Universe, loves His blood-bought Church, His Body, so much that Scripture says He does not even consider Himself complete until He has us in His presence. In verses 22 and 23, God has put all things under Christ's feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church, which is His Body, the complement, the completing of Him who fills all in all. Les says this is mind-boggling, and it means what He has, we will one day have, received by faith because the Book says it.
