Does Jesus consider Himself complete without His Church?

No. Scripture teaches that the Lord Jesus, the crowning Creator and God of the Universe, does not consider Himself complete until His blood-bought Church, His Body, is in His presence. The Church is called His complement, the completing of Him who fills all in all.

Les explains from Ephesians 2 that this is a miracle of miracles: the Lord Jesus, the crowning Creator and God of the Universe, has such love for His blood-bought Church, His Body, that Scripture says He does not even consider Himself complete until He has His Church in His presence. Les calls this mind-boggling. In verses 22 and 23, God has put all things under Christ's feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church, which is His Body, the complement, the completing of Him who filleth all in all. Les emphasizes that what Christ has, we will one day have, and we know this by faith because the Book says it. He acknowledges this cannot be laid out humanly, but it is believed on the basis that Scripture says so.
