Will anyone be able to say in hell that God did not supply their need?
No. Christ died and paid the sin debt for every human being, so no one in eternal doom can truthfully say God failed to supply their need. God did supply it; the lost are condemned for rejecting the pardon and refusing to believe, not for lack of provision.
Les teaches that all things are of God, who reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. He explains that God was in Christ reconciling not just the few—the believers—but the world. Les maintains that when Christ died, He paid the sin debt for every human being who ever lived, so no one need ever wake up in eternal doom and say God did not supply their need; He did. To illustrate, Les tells of a convicted murderer on death row who was pardoned by the governor. In anger and rebellion, the man tore up the pardon and stomped it on the floor, not realizing what it was. At the gallows he said, 'Tell the world I'm not dying for murdering a man. I'm dying because I rejected my pardon.' Les applies this: every human being has been pardoned and reconciled, and everything needed has been done on their behalf, but they would not believe it. They stomp it underfoot and go to eternal doom, not because of their sin.
