To whom did God continue the Abrahamic covenant after Abraham?
God continued the Abrahamic covenant to Isaac, the son of promise. He appeared to Isaac and reaffirmed the oath sworn to Abraham, promising to be with him, bless him, give the land to him and his seed, multiply his descendants as the stars, and bless all nations through his seed.
Les explains that after God made the covenant agreement with Abraham, He referred it on to Isaac, the true son of promise. In Genesis 26, during a famine, Isaac went to Abimelech, king of the Philistines, in Gerar. The Lord appeared to Isaac and told him not to go down to Egypt but to dwell in the land God would tell him of. God promised to sojourn in the land, be with Isaac, bless him, give all these countries to him and his seed, and perform the oath sworn to Abraham. God repeated the Abrahamic Covenant, saying He would multiply Isaac's seed as the stars of heaven, give his seed all those countries, and in his seed all nations of the earth would be blessed because Abraham obeyed God's voice.
Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
