To whom was the Abrahamic covenant repeated?

The Abrahamic covenant was repeated to Isaac and then again to Jacob. The context states it was repeated to Isaac and again to Jacob, and it notes God had told Abraham and Isaac not to go into Egypt, while He told Jacob not to fear going into Egypt, where He would make of him a great nation.

Les explains that the Abrahamic covenant was repeated to Isaac and then again to Jacob. He points out a change: God had been telling Abraham, and He told Isaac, 'Don't go into Egypt.' But God tells Jacob, 'Don't be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there in Egypt I will make of thee a great nation.' After some 215 years of the children of Israel in Egypt, Moses leads them out—a company of anywhere from 5–7 million people—the biggest nation in the then-known world. Les then notes the covenant of the Law given to Moses and Israel, and later the Palestinian covenant in Deuteronomy 30, which God makes primarily with Moses and the nation of Israel.
