What did Peter say to Sapphira in Acts 5?
Peter asked Sapphira whether the land was sold for the agreed amount, and she confirmed it. He then asked how she and Ananias had agreed together to tempt or test the Spirit of the Lord, and declared that the feet of those who buried her husband were at the door and would carry her out.
Les explains that this account shows the seriousness of coming under the King who rules with absolute power and knowledge, so nothing can be hidden from Him. Ananias had fallen down, was wrapped up, carried out, and buried. About three hours later, Sapphira came in not knowing what was done. Peter asked her whether the land was sold for so much, and she agreed. Then Peter asked how they had agreed together to tempt or test the Spirit of the Lord, and told her the feet of those who buried her husband were at the door and would carry her out. The young man later found her dead and buried her by her husband, and great fear came upon the church and all who heard.
