Does the death of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5 apply to the church?

Acts 5's death of Ananias and Sapphira is not church ground. It is Jerusalem assembly ground, primarily Jewish believers who knew Jesus only as the promised Messiah, before salvation based on His shed blood was revealed. If it were church ground, no believer would remain on earth.

Les teaches that Acts 4 and 5 are not church ground or the body of Christ as the church; this is the Jerusalem assembly, primarily Jewish believers who accepted that Jesus was the Christ. There is no mention yet of salvation based on His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection—only on who He was, the promised Messiah. The believers sold lands and houses and laid the proceeds at the apostles' feet, and Barnabas did likewise. Les says that is not Church language; a pastor asking his congregation to cash in all property would not last until Monday morning with intelligent people, but here it was expected and nothing was amiss. He concludes that if chapter 5, the death of Ananias and Sapphira, is Church ground, then there would not be a believer left on this earth.
