Where did Peter believe Jesus was after His resurrection?

Peter believed Jesus had ascended back to the Father's right hand in heaven. He agreed with the Old Testament that heaven must receive Christ until the times of restitution of all things, as Psalm 110:1 states, until His enemies are made His footstool.

Les explains that Peter was in full agreement with the Old Testament that Jesus had gone back to the Father's right hand. Peter expected the King and kingdom to come after the seven horrible years of restitution of all things, when the curse is lifted, Satan is defeated, and the earth is regenerated for the kingdom reign. Les notes Peter may have forgotten Jesus' earlier indication that Peter would suffer a very ignominious death, being enraptured with the possibility that Israel's repentance would bring the Messiah back and restore the kingdom.

Psalms 110:1

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
