Where did Jesus go after His resurrection and burial?
After His burial and resurrection, the crucified King went to Heaven. Consequently, the Kingdom is in Heaven, because the Kingdom is where the King is. The King is in Heaven, though Paul never presents Christ as King of the Church; members of the Body relate to Him as Head.
Les teaches that the crucified King, after His burial and resurrection, went to Heaven. Therefore the Kingdom is now in Heaven, because the Kingdom is always where the King is, and the King is in Heaven. Les also stresses being careful: Paul never alludes to Christ as the King of the Church, and we are never to address Him as our King. Christ is the King, but He is not our King, because as members of His Body we are joint heirs with Him, part and parcel of Him. He is the Head and we are the Body, a far different relationship than that of subjects under a king.
