Where is Christ now after His resurrection?
After His resurrection, Christ is seated in the heavenlies at the right hand of the Father. He is no longer in the humiliation of His earthly ministry but is now the Lord Jesus Christ, the Christ in resurrection power. Believers are in Him, and the Holy Spirit is in them.
Les explains that Christ's earthly ministry to Israel was not the basis of salvation today. The name Jesus was His name of humiliation as He went to the cross as the sin bearer. Once He rises from the dead in power and glory, it is no longer appropriate to refer to Him only as Jesus, but now He is the Lord Jesus, the Jesus Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ. The focus is the Christ of the work of the cross, the Christ in resurrection power, the Christ who is now seated in the heavenlies at the right hand of the Father. If we are in Christ, that is the secret; He has been sealed by the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is in us. As Les says, we're in Him, He's in us.
