Why must every prophecy be fulfilled to the last jot and tittle?

Every prophecy must be fulfilled to the last jot and tittle because God's truthfulness is at stake; if any prophetic word failed, God would be a liar. Scripture therefore teaches that all prophetic writings must come to pass, including those still future, and Christ's suffering was fulfilled exactly as foretold.

Les explains that anytime something is written in prophecy, it has to be fulfilled to the last jot and tittle, or it would make God a liar. He emphasizes to always remember that everything written prophetically has to come to pass, and everything still future has to happen and will; otherwise God would be a liar. In Acts chapter 3, Peter says the things God before had showed by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath fulfilled. So Christ had to die because prophecy had foretold it.
