What did Peter do for Israel after the crucifixion in Acts 2 and 3?

After the crucifixion, Peter came back and again presented the nation of Israel with the king and the kingdom. It was a valid offer, but they rejected it in unbelief, just as they had before, and continued rejecting him until God raised up the apostle Paul.

Les teaches that after the crucifixion Peter comes back and again presents the nation with the king and the kingdom. The offer was valid, just as the earlier offer during His earthly ministry was valid, but Israel again rejected it in unbelief. They scoffed that nothing good could come out of Nazareth and stumbled because a king came on a colt of a donkey rather than a prancing white steed. They continued to reject him until God raised up the apostle Paul. This rejection occurred even though Israel's prospect was to be a nation of priests and a light to the Gentiles.
