Why did Judas never have a spiritual part in the ministry even though he served as treasurer?

Judas served outwardly as treasurer, holding the bag, yet he never had a spiritual part because Jesus Himself identified him as a devil or demon from the beginning, not only in the final weeks. He deceived the other eleven, but never Jesus, who knew what he was; his betrayal was foreseen, though Judas retained free will.

Les teaches that Judas had been with the twelve the whole three years, was even one of the officers, and served as treasurer, holding the bag. So he truly had a part in the ministry, but he never had a spiritual part of it, because Jesus Himself said, back in John, that Judas was a devil or demon from the beginning, not just during the last few weeks. Judas completely fooled the other eleven men, but he never fooled Jesus; Jesus knew who he was and what he was. Les also corrects the idea that Judas never had a chance or that God created him to be the betrayer. Judas was not put in that kind of situation and was not left without a choice; he had as much choice as the others. God in His foreknowledge knew what Judas would do when given the opportunity, and David by inspiration prophesied it. Prophecy foretold the betrayal and fall by transgression, and because prophecy foretells it, it had to happen, but Judas still had free will and full opportunity to accept had he wanted to. Later, Judas took his thirty pieces of silver back to the priest, threw it at their feet because of his own guilt, and this man purchased the field with the reward of iniquity, while the priest knew it was blood money.
