Did Judas have a spiritual part in the ministry?

Judas had a part in the ministry as treasurer, holding the bag, but he never had a spiritual part. Jesus called him a devil or demon from the beginning. He fooled the other eleven, but not Jesus. Judas had free will and could have accepted, yet prophecy foretold his betrayal.

Les explains that Judas was with the disciples the whole three years and was even one of the officers, specifically the treasurer who held the bag. So he did have a part in the ministry, but never a spiritual part. Jesus Himself said, back in John, that Judas was a devil or demon, not just in the last few weeks but from the beginning. Judas completely fooled the other eleven men, but he never fooled Jesus, who knew who and what he was. David by inspiration prophesied it. Les warns against saying poor Judas never had a chance or that God created him to be the betrayer. Judas was not put in that situation and was not left without a choice; he had as much choice as the others. God in His foreknowledge knew what Judas would do when given the opportunity, so prophecy foretold it, and once foretold it had to happen. But Judas' free will is never taken away; he had full opportunity of accepting had he wanted to. The psalmist foretold he would betray and fall by transgression. This man purchased the field with the reward of iniquity; he took his thirty pieces of silver back to the priest at the temple and threw it at their feet because of his own guilt, and the priest knew it was blood money.
