How many Christian denominations are there in America?
The context states there are over a thousand denominations in America alone. This figure is presented as a report the speaker read, and he adds that none of them agree with each other. The number is not given as an exact count but as a general estimate.
Les explains that he read recently that there are over a thousand denominations in America alone. He adds that you can just about bet none of them agree with each other, which contributes to the confusion of the Scriptures. He contrasts this with the need to get into the Book, not follow what any particular group or teacher says, but to see what the Word really says.
