Who really created the universe according to Ephesians 3:9?

Ephesians 3:9 identifies God as the Creator of all things, the same God of Genesis 1:1. The passage then designates Jesus Christ as the Creator, so the universe was created by Him. The created beings who crucified Him were crucifying their own Creator.

Les explains from Ephesians 3:9 that Paul is making all see the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world had been hid in God—the same God of Genesis 1:1 who created all things. Les then asks who was designated the Creator: Jesus Christ. He illustrates that those who nailed Christ to the cross and set Him up in public spectacle were created beings crucifying their Creator, and he says never lose sight of that. He also connects this to salvation: the sovereign, total God of the universe died the death we should have died, rose from the dead, and extended eternal life.
