Who is the Creator in Genesis 1:1 according to Ephesians 3:9?
According to Ephesians 3:9, the God of Genesis 1:1 who created all things is the same God designated as the Creator, and that Creator is Jesus Christ. Paul shows that the One who made all things is the One whom created beings crucified, identifying Him clearly as Jesus.
Les teaches from Ephesians chapter 3, verse 9, where Paul writes about making all see the fellowship of the mystery that was hid in God from the beginning of the world. Les identifies that same God as the God of Genesis 1:1, who created all things, and then asks who was designated the Creator: Jesus Christ. He emphasizes the point by recalling a class in Iowa where he said the people who nailed Christ to the cross and put Him up in public spectacle were created beings crucifying their Creator. Les says this shook them up because they had never had that concept of who Jesus was. He also applies it to salvation, thanking God that the sovereign, total God of the universe is the same God who died the death we should have died, rose from the dead, and extended eternal life, and that you cannot separate that from Him.
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
