What does God say He will do for Israel in Ezekiel 37:21-22?

In Ezekiel 37:21-22, God declares He will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, gather them from every side, and bring them into their own land. He will make them one nation upon the mountains of Israel, with one king over them all, never again divided into two kingdoms.

Les teaches that Ezekiel’s two sticks picture the nation when it was divided into the northern kingdom, Joseph or Ephraim, and the southern kingdom, Judah. God says He will take the stick of Joseph and the tribes of Israel his fellows, put them with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, no longer a divided kingdom but once again a singular kingdom. In verses 21–22, God tells Ezekiel to say to the Jews asking the question that He will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land. There He will make them one nation upon the mountains of Israel, with one king over them all; they shall no more be two nations, neither be divided into two kingdoms anymore. The context then adds that David His servant shall be king over them, they shall have one shepherd, dwell in the land given to Jacob, and God will make a covenant of peace with them.

Ezekiel 37:21
