Are Christians under Law or under grace? How do we get from under the Law to under grace?

Christians are not under Law but under grace. A person comes out from under the Law and under grace by faith, plus nothing. The Holy Spirit and miraculous transformation are received not by works of the Law but by the hearing of faith, so salvation is by grace through faith, plus nothing.

Les explains that the Galatians could not perform miracles under the working of the Law; it was impossible. But when the Holy Spirit activated the hearts and minds of pagan Galatians and others throughout the Roman Empire, it produced a miraculous transformation from paganism, idolatry, and immorality. They stepped into a whole new lifestyle. Paul’s question remains: if you have witnessed a miracle, was it through keeping the Law or through the manifestation of the Spirit activated by faith? Les stresses we are not under Law but under grace, and we come under grace and out from under the Law by faith, plus nothing. This is the theme of Galatians: don’t be suckered into a works religion; maintain salvation by grace through faith, plus nothing.
