Will Jesus be King of kings and Lord of lords?

Yes, He will absolutely be King of kings and Lord of lords. But not for the Church, because believers are never going to be His subjects; they will be His co-heirs. The Church looks for Him as Savior, Redeemer, and Head of the Body, not as King.

Les explains that Philippians 3:20-21 says our conversation, that is citizenship, is in heaven, and from heaven we look for the Savior, not the King. He points out that Paul never refers to Christ as the King of the Church, but only as the Savior, the Redeemer, and the Head of the Body. Yet Christ is going to be the King of kings and Lord of lords absolutely. However, that kingship is not for the Church, because believers will never be His subjects; they will be His co-heirs.
