Who will Jesus reign over forever?

The angel declared that Jesus, the Son of the Highest, will reign over the house of Jacob forever and ever. His kingdom will have no end, fulfilling Old Testament promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the throne of David.

Les explains that the angel told Mary she would conceive and bear a son named Jesus, who would be great and called the Son of the Highest. The Lord God would give Him the throne of His father David, and He would reign over the house of Jacob forever, with a kingdom that has no end. Les emphasizes this fulfills Old Testament promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the Davidic genealogy leading to the King. He notes he repeats these truths so they soak in.
